are people born wicked? or do they have wickedness thrust upon them?

last night, i went to go see wicked for the last time as my mom puts it. however, "mumzie" had said the same thing three times prior to last night. that is right, i have seen wicked four times and it's finally time to finally accept that i am a obsessed with it. 

if you have yet to seen this fabulous musical, you may at least have heard the famous defying gravity. the sound of idina menzel's voice is stunning and it gives me goosebumps just thinking about it. defying gravity is the biggest number in the musical and no doubt in my mind, almost everyone's favorite.

if you have no idea what i am even talking about, maybe you need the idea. wicked is a backstory of the wizard of oz, or as they put it “so much happened before dorothy dropped in”. it follows two good friends: glinda famously known as the good witch of the north and elphaba infamously known as the wicked witch of the west.

seeing wicked has changed my thoughts on the wizard of oz and even, oz the great and the powerful. i have been waiting for a movie adaption of wicked since i first saw it and i really hope they make one. i started reading the book by gregory maguire, but in real honesty, it's very disturbing.

character: elphaba

song: dancing through life

line: “well, we all can't come and go by bubble!”

portrayer: the original cast {even if i never saw them}

twist: the ending!!

scene: i love when elphaba flies for the first time during defying gravity, but even more, i love when elphaba and glinda arrive to the emerald city. {it's all grand, it's all green!}

if you're a sucker for easter eggs in movies {ie. rapunzel and flinn rider showing up in frozen}, then wicked is perfect for you! it is full of them. :)
