this post is mostly about the apps, music, and everything i enjoy on my phone. i got the idea from seeing youtube videos a while back about girls showing what is in their purses. since i don't like lugging around purses {and when i do have a purse usually all that's in it is my wallet, phone, and car keys} i'm going to write about my phone. now, you're probably wondering, "andie, why aren't you making a video?" (and if you're not, oh well) it's because i do not have a laptop and use my ipad as a laptop and contrary to apple's beliefs, the camera is sucky.
so, to begin this "featurette" i have a white iphone 5c and it does not have the fingerprint scanner like the 5s does, but i do like it the way it is. i also have a pink case covering it because the back is not made out of glass like most iphones are and it is very slippery. and of course, i have every app that is built into the iphone and i really wish i didn't because they use up a lot of space. (even if you don't use them!!)
so most of the apps i use are in the folders photography, music/audio, games, social, sports, and school.
i think out of all the folders, i use photography the most. obviously because i am a photographer. :)
in there, i have imovie, instagram, picframe, timercam, vscocam, iphoto, faceinhole, flickr, instasize, instant, over, and dropbox.
vscocam is an app i discovered not too recently and it's a good app for photographers because there are a plethora of effects. {free and for a cost} in my opinion, i think it is a lot like instagram but to showcase actual photographs and not for selfies or for "likes".
i don't have many games, as i think many games require wifi; i like games where i could play if i am on a long roadtrip or even up in the sky. the games i primarily use are tetris, solitaire, the price is right decades game, dots, quizup, and recently {regretfully} downloaded, flappybird. i have more games, but i hardly play them unless, like i said, i'm on a trip.
quizup is my favorite game that requires wifi because i love learning. even if some are common knowledge (like the united states category) i do learn stuff that i haven't ever been taught. and since there are so many categories, i do like to express what i do already know. (yankee challengers, game on)
the social folder is just your normal social media sites. twitter, facebook, blogger, vine, pinterest tumblr... the "ushe". and i put imdb and buzzfeed on there just because they gather information from your social media accounts and apply it to what you're reading or what movies you might like. {those snatchers.} and for those who say, "snapchat is the new way of texting" i completely disagree. {why do i even have one?} so snapchat me, prepared to be screenshot-ed.
sports folder is where i have some of my favorite apps. :) as a baseball fanatic, i have mlb at bat and i think it is a great app. you can watch and listen to games, look at the box score--it is fab for baseball junkies everywhere. while almost everyone listens to music in class, i listen to the ball game. :) boy meets world fans, this one's for you: i would be the one getting caught listening to a game in class just like cory did. (except i probably won't be listening to a phillie's game with those silly old headphones) :)
the sports folder also includes espn to catch up on all the scores of my favorite teams and espn radio so i can listen to good ol' michael kay (yankees playbyplay announcer) talk on his show about some things.
school (bleh) who needs a school folder? i do! edmodo, pages, and keynote. not may but they do help me when i need to write an essay in a hurry or even make a powerpoint. «highly reccomended»
and now for the glorious music folder! you gotcha 8tracks app, pandora, garageband, my fave radio station KGSR, shazam, and netflix to watch videos on. now, you know what they say, "if you don't have good music taste, we cannot be friends". luckily, that doesn't apply to me, so we can be friends. :) however, i do listen to a certain kind of music and i don't know how to describe it. rock? alternative? rock alternative roll? no idea. i usually listen to matchbox twenty radio on pandora to get some of the songs i love. and in my car i only listen to kgsr unless something is better playing on sister station, 101x. i shuffle my songs almost all the time, and fall asleep with music on. but usually when i wake up in the morning, i check what was playing and see if i do know the song. according to my "top 25 most played" i listen to best day of my life by american authors the most. some songs on my phone are weird. like i have one hit wonder the impression that i get by the mighty, mighty bosstones and an album that cleveland indian, nick swisher sang for his foundation swish's wishes. there are songs that i love that aren't even on my phone and there are songs that i only gave one listen and decided to pay the $1.29. weird, huh? so, i am going to interupt randomized jam sesh now and write the first 25 songs that appear first. (who knows maybe you'll listen to some and discover its greatness?)
