do accept free sweets from people. like cupcakes, chocolate, sweethearts, whatever the weather...
don't watch sappy nicholas sparks' movies. they will make you want a significant other and make you bawl because {spoiler alert} someone ends up dying.
don't get overly excited. it's just a holiday. tomorrow it will be a brand new day.
do have fun making fun of the holiday. watch nicholas sparks movies and say, “this will never happen in real life!” or watch valentine's day and completely burst out laughing because it may exactly be your life. {there's a lot of scenarios in that movie}
and now, please enjoy a poem written by me and my friends in creative writing! {it's too great}
Flowers delivered,
tulips the color of a
bruised sunset,
with a note attached--
"Meet me."
She had planned to
spend the evening
eating Nutella and
and watching Netflix--
Her only companion,
her cat.
But things had taken
a shocking turn. She
now had a reason to
shave her legs, for once.
Just one more hour
surfing the net hunting
for sweaters for her cat,
she told herself for the
third time. Or she thought
it was the third time. She
lost count.
She was already ten
minutes late when
she arrived, out of
breath and red faced--
There was her mother,
waving furiously from
a bench, sitting uncomfortably
close to a couple passionately
making out.
Thank god she didn't shave her legs.
so, i am hoping you have a good valentine's day whatever you plan on doing!
