writing a blog post in creative writing

one of the classes i take is creative writing. and by writing this blog, you can assume i love writing. the thing i love about writing is taking every thing that you would want to say and put it on paper. i encourage everyone to write, even if you are not good at it. i think every one should keep a journal. you don't even have to write in a journal, it's great to keep memories from what you have done because you might forget once you're older. for an example, this past summer (2013) i kept a journal from what i did over the summer. i took pictures, saved ticket stubs of movies i went to, and basically documented everything. i plan to make another one this summer.

in creative writing, we have to submit a piece for peace, love, and misunderstanding for the school's literary magazine. i wrote a poem about how i feel leaving high school this year. and it goes like:

It's weird that I am almost done here.
It feels like I have some ways to go.

Just yesterday felt like August,
will tomorrow be like, "Where did the time go?"

I've met a lot of friends here and some I don't even know,
so it does feel weird to let it all go.

It's strange to leave some teachers behind.
Like Pants., Widner, and Mr. E-- but I am hoping they'll remember me.

It's like I don't want to leave here,
But it's hard not to let go.

I hope we're not the generation that does not keep in touch.
Because that will mean that I will leave the ones that meant so much.

i don't really know if it falls into the category, so i posted it here just in case my teacher agrees and tells me to write something different.
