lent: as the days go by, i love the decision that i gave up twitter for lent again. i feel like i don't need that in my life at all more and more each day. it's very peaceful in my life without it, i wanna say, because i don't have to look at what others are doing and being like, “ugh, i'm so jealous” when i'm doing nothing. or seeing my friends do something without me kinda deal. it's nice and i love it. the only downside is that it's hard to communicate with people when you don't have their number, they don't have a facebook or really--anything? but that's not a problem recently. {just thinking about if i get rid of twitter in the long run} my soda cravings are no more and it really rocks. instead of relying on caffeine to make me stay awake, i now drink cold water and hey, it actually really helps! i reccomend it. also, my mom recently bought dasani lemon water and i think it's a great substitute for soda. i mean, when i first take a sip of it, it tastes like sprite, so i just put into my mind that it is sprite and wabam. i have a feeling once this is all done, i'm not going to like soda anymore. :)
friday: friday i got my nails done; a "mani-pedi" some might say. it's pretty cool because i got gel on my toes and had no idea you could do it on your toes. i love having gel nails {even if i have had it done like three times... lol} because i would pick off normal polish. and with gel, it's hard to pick off, but because of that, it makes your nails grow, instead of break off like mine usually do. and i had my nails done because...
senior pictures!: i got my senior pictures done on saturday! {that's the answer above in case you were all like, “huh?” :) } it took all day... i went to get my hair done at 1 and we were done taking pics/driving around atx around 7? i was exhausted by the end and had a migraine in the making. but it was so much fun. i got my hair curled at ulta {they straightened my hair just to curl it, so that was cool} and also got my makeup done for the first time... ever... and that was a whole different experience. i sorta liked it; i looked “hip”, but definitely love not wearing make up as well. the fabulous, desiree keelty took my photos and we went to great places around austin. a main place i haven't even heard of, but still so awesome. she took my brother's as well so my mom sorta wanted one picture similar to his.
and here's a super sneakpeak of one of my pictures. :) there are more to come and i promise i will put them up as soon as she is done editing and all of that fun junk. :) my friend jayke pointed out that my hair looks like neurons, while i noticed that i am sticking out the number four with my left hand. why? my fingers might have done that unintentionally... or maybe i was thinking of when i would call out “four, four, four!” to attack the volleyball... or maybe even, when i do corner kicks at soccer, i stick up three and a half fingers up to signal i'm ready. OR i was born on october 4th... whatever it is, i think it just is symbolic.
sunday: i didn't really do anything today. i mean, i started an essay, i {spring} cleaned my room and bathroom, and i went to go play some charades at true {youth group}. it was a fun night to the end the weekend and it was a fun night to start the week ahead. we ended the night at torchy's {my fave} and my friends: lizzy, jonathan, and maddie all bonded on some strange, interesting topics {from facial hair to ken ham and bill nye debates} over chips and queso.
and now, i am here, in bed at 11:30, probably should be reading my book or maybe even sleeping, but instead i am blogging. :) i am so happy to have started this week on a good note and i am hoping it will continue.
xo,
andie
p.s. this wasn't really "short", was it? :p
