Summer journaling

Hi, guys! Since summer vacation is right around the corner, I am going to show off to you my journal from last year. Hopefully, this will inspire you guys into--not just summer journaling--but journaling as well. I think keeping a journal reminds you of the good times you have had and it's for sure a memory keeper. Doing a summer journal is super simple and super easy and it allows you to be creative; it also is a look back at your fantastic, stress free summer! :)

So, basically all you need to keep up with a summer journal is a camera to take pictures with, craft supplies to fill out your journal with, and your mind to get creative with.

A few tips to summer journaling:

*Collect things wherever you'll go this summer. Whether it's tickets to the movies or a wristband to go backstage and meet your favorite band; these things look awesome in your journal. I love collecting pamphlets from museums and also a little itinerary of a trip I went to.

*If something is too large for your journal and you want to incorporate it in there somehow make a mini sized one! You'll see in the video I had made a mini "Happy Birthday 2 Jeter" poster. Last summer, when I went back to New York, I brought a normal sized poster exactly the same. Having a mini one is very handy.

*When celebrating birthdays, use torn up present gift wrap. I had used the wrapping paper from my brother's gifts last summer and I had plenty to make a few presents for my journal. I had cracked un cascarone {confetti egg} and glued down some of the confetti inside. Also, I had a mini balloon attached, but to avoid it from popping, I took it out.

*Don't be afraid to take panoramic pictures. Many people do not want to include them in their journals because "they won't fit" or "they'll get bent". However, a cute, fun way to keep it in your journal is to fold it all up and to pull it down when you pass by the page.

Something I found on Pinterest a while ago is simple journal prompts for every day of the month. I think if I might not do anything fun a day in my journal, I might write about the prompt. {We'll see; let's hope!} Also, what I want to add on my journal this summer are scrapbooking stickers! They add a whole lotta fun to the page and you can find a sheet of them for almost any occasion. Weddings, traveling, graduation, they're so much fun! :)

It should be a fun summer with all of this journaling around! How creative can you get with it?
