Countdowns, Goo Goo Dolls, and Lessons from Feeny

 On August 20, my life will change forever. Since I could remember, the University of Arizona has been my dream school, now with the days leading up to it, it feels so surreal. I know I'll come back to Austin {obvio... it's home}, but setting off to go to college is a whole new chapter and there is no looking back. Or as Queen Elsa says,
{except like I said, I'll come back}

 My friend reminded me to "live in the moment" this past Friday and I never thought of a more perfect motto before setting off to college. No more surrounding myself with people that constantly put me so low, no more feeling so lost and alone. Why not say goodbye to the bad things that have happened in the longest four year roller coaster of my life? Who cares about the one B I made on the test that "everyone" aced? It's time to move on from all of that and make some memories that will last. :) I am very excited for my time at the UofA and I couldn't be any happier. :)

 So, what am I doing aside from my farewell tour? Somewhere between all the plans I've been making with friends and family, the exercise I feel like I absolute HAVE to get, and sleep, I've been listening to one of my favorite bands the Goo Goo Dolls constantly. There's something about singing along with them that makes me feel {so happy no matter how sad that the song is}. My life is the greatest it has been in years and my heart is so full of happiness that it makes me even more excited about college! Plus, it's always nice to have a jam sesh of your favorite band when you are home alone, am I right?

 In case you don't already know, I LOVE Boy Meets World. {I mean... the title of my blog is a definite nod...} I own the complete boxed set and have been watching Disney's newest show Girl Meets World with my mom every Friday night. Obsessed? Sure, but hear me out when I say you learn a lot from that show. Mr. Feeny has actually taught me more about the real world than anyone really has and now, before college, I am thankful for that. It's a big send off to the real world, and it makes my heart happy. :)
