Oh, how much I miss HIMYM.
So, as you know, when I last blogged, I was waiting to board my flight from Austin-Houston and Houston-Tucson. Well, unfortunately, my flight to Houston was delayed. I awaited at the desk and asked if I would make my connecting flight on time. "Yes, you'll have half an hour to get to your gate, you should be fine!" said the gate guard. Well, unfortunately, I waited on the plane to takeoff to Houston for half an hour and eventually missed my flight to Tucson. I checked in with the service desk and they got me a hotel and food voucher and a different flight for the next morning. I had waited outside with a couple more people waiting to take the shuttle to Hyatt-North hotel. After waiting outside for approximately fifteen minutes, I boarded the shuttle. It took about twenty minutes to get to the hotel from the airport, however, when the driver said we had arrived, I got off to realize I boarded the shuttle to the Hilton-North hotel. Jeez... so I asked the driver politely if she could take me to the Hyatt-North hotel. Thankfully, she did and I got there, spent the night, woke up took the shuttle back to the airport, and catch my flight to Tucson. That took a lot of courage to do all of that by myself and I definitely wanted to fly back home and stay there until next semester... But as for Thursday...
Thursday morning, I had gotten up for my class as per usual. I had lots to do that kept me up all night. My room was {well, is... tbh} kind of a mess from all my papers and work I have had to do this week. I was looking for my glasses because I was running late to get to class and didn't want to spend the time to put my contacts in. When I couldn't find my glasses, I settled putting my contacts in and the next thing I knew, I couldn't see... My godmother had picked me up and driven me to the student health center; there they drained out all of my tears and flushed my eyes out and from there I went to the eye doctor. Basically, the entire day was a blur until I woke up at my Aunt Kim and Uncle Johnny's house...
It was definitely one of the most craziest "hell weeks" I have ever had and it's definitely something I'm going to have to tell my kids before they start taking their first finals. However, with all of these misfortunate events, I don't think I'd be ready to tackle finals and end my first semester here at the UofA. :)
