Thumbs Up in Tucson

hello readers! holy moly!! recently, I've been experiencing some painful writer's block and decided to go to my Momma {S/O to the Queen of Cheesy Browns} for some help. she suggested I should do the things I like about Tucson since coming here. because sure, I do have a lot of things  I am thankful for since coming here to the UofA, so here we go!

family:
stating the obvious thing first: I love getting to hang with Rocki!!! Raquel is my six year old cousin; for twelve and a half years, I was the youngest cousin and since {almost} everyone was in Arizona, I really didn't get the chance to hangout with my cousins quite as much. now that I'm here, I get to be silly and play around with her. it's too much fun, really. plus, I am getting much better at Disney Infinity, so that's always a plus. ;) it's so nice getting to see a lot of my family. aunts, uncles, godparents, cousins, the gang is {almost} all here! every time I think of how lucky I am to be here for school, I think of how happy Grammie would be.

feeling {almost} right at home:
on campus, I am involved in PCM {Presbyterian Christian Ministry}, Young Life, and for now, trying to squeeze in time for Spanish Club and intramural sports. I love getting involved because it allows new friendships to pop up and I do love getting to know people. :)

VIDEO CALLING:
holy snoodle-poodles, as much as I hate technology sometimes {you know, like lagged wifi... *cough cough* UofA} Skype is the best. even if, like my blog, it's like my 392747th attempt, I am so happy I can Skype/FaceTime people back at home. so, thankfully technology can be sometimes an advantage. :)

food:
 not going to lie, it's super hard adjusting to a place that has no Torchy's, no HEB, no Kerbey,  NO NOTHIN', YOU STINK TUCSON!!!! just kidding, I love you, 520. but hey, ATX, you don't have Core, eegee's, or La Parrilla Suiza... so who's the real winner here? {don't answer that, Austinites, I know you'll loyally choose Austin before you give my top three choices here a chance}

hace buen tiempo:
for those who don't know, I wear my chacos practically everywhere I go. I haven't gone anywhere {except the rec} not wearing them and it's really got me happy. I have worn them bracing through East 2nd Street River to cheerin' on my team Saturday nights! so lets face it, chacos are the shoe made for Arizona because you can just wear them all the time.

Zona Zoo:
whose blog have you been following if you didn't know I was a big, huge sports fanatic? one of the best parts about being a Wildcat is being apart of Arizona's student section, Zona Zoo. win or lose, Zona Zoo stays the entire game and it's a lotta fun, I can tell ya that! :)

it's crazy how I've been here for nearly a month and how much my life has changed. :)
