So, what is whiteout?
If you know what blackout is, you'll know what whiteout is, trust me! But in case you do not, blackout is when members of a student section for a sporting event wear all black to "black out" the other team {quite self-explanatory, huh?}. So, whiteout is the exact opposite by wearing all white. Pick up what I am putting down? Good! Let's get this started!!
Going into the game, the UofA was predicted to win over Cal, however by the look of it after the first half, it did not look pretty... Zona Zoo was tired of Arizona's QB, Anu Solomon, overthrowing passes, they were tired of all the buttered fingered plays, and they were tired of just not doing well. At the end of the third quarter, it was 31-13 and by the look of it, we needed Jesus. Then the fourth quarter rolled in... and BAM, Jesus had answered our prayers. Wildcats go on to win the Hail Mary 49-45! :)
Who would've thought by the look of how we played in the first half we would come out with our first conference win of the season? That is the definition of BEAR DOWN!
Now, many of you back at home have been asking me, why is Arizona's motto "bear down"? "Aren't they the Wildcats?! Cats aren't bears?!" Well, you're in luck, readers of my blog who have been asking the same question, why is it Bear Down? {Hint, hint <--- clicky there}
An undefeated start to the season keeps me optimistic about the rest of it! I am proud to call myself an Arizona Wildcat! Go, go, go Cats go!
