Short and simple blogpost for the day! For those of you who don't know, I'm not much of a dresser-upper. I hardly wear dresses, I have a <1% chance of wearing heels to a nice occasion, I never wear makeup... You get the deal. Out of nowhere today, I decided to dress up. Not extremely Gatsby style, but I did take the time to straighten my mane {my hair} this morning, wear a little bit of makeup, and a new shirt I bought yesterday. {^^^}
After my classes today, I had gotten a few compliments on my appearance. This may sound cliché, but it really is the little things that count. Things like "You look nice today," or "I love that lipstick color on you!" made me smile. To be quite honest, I was not expecting compliments at all, but it really warms my heart to hear sweet things from at least a couple of people. :)
I am not doing this certain kind of blogpost for attention and I'm not doing it to showcase the comments I had received. However, I do want to say that it does take little effort to make someone's day {like mine} for a sweet comment. In my opinion, I don't like comments over the Internet, "likes", or "favorites", I like to hear it out loud, in person because that comment can go along way.
To all of you who had said something today, thank you. This was an excellent experiment to set up. :)
