10 Things I Miss About Tucson

I'm not going to lie to you... I LOVE being back home in Austin. I get to drive in my car, I get to go to Body Pump with my momma, wakeup in my own bed, and even get to hang around my boyfriend, Johnny, more. There are cons for being back home though. Like doing chores around the house, my mom nagging on me to do homework, and laying around doing nothing sometimes. While I may not know yet if I go back to Tucson next fall, the things I accomplished living away by myself are quite impressive... But lately, I have been missing Tucson, which has inspired me to write this post for ya!

10. Walking from place to place
Since coming home, I no longer have to walk across a gigantic college campus. While that may sound like "yippy!" to you and me, but going from walking 6-8 miles a day {yep! I walked e'rywhere} to just maybe 2 or 3 is a big sad face. I guess that was the beauty of not having Saabastian away at Arizona. #GOGREEN!

9. Saguaros -- everywhere!
One of the beauties of being in Tucson is driving almost everywhere in town and looking outside your window to see big, tall saguaros! It's like driving through the Pacific Northwest area and seeing all of these big trees. It's incredible and what's even better is that they grow up to be 65 feet! Holy, moly.

8. The Sunrises/Sunsets
People here in Texas seem to be so biassed by saying that "Texas has the BEST sunrises/sunsets". I, for one, disagree. When being in Tucson, the sun may come up and go down a tad bit early, but staring outside a window {yes, like in a music video haha} watching the sunrise/sunset over the mountains is like *heart eyed emoji*. It's that amazing and I highly recommend it for my friends still back in Tucson. :)

7. Handwritten letters and care packages
Ah, yes... this is why I love going away for camp, as well. It's so nice to go up to my dorm after a day of classes and receive either a letter or a slip that I have a package. I, myself, love showcasing my {many} types of handwriting and love the reactions from people when they receive a letter. *UofA peeps {or any peeps really...}, if you want a handwritten letter from me, please feel free to send me your address!*

6. The Environment
What I really liked about being in Tucson is all the different people you see on campus. My favorites to run into were those who commented on my Tyler's tees and "Keep Austin Weird" shirts. Seems like such a small world whenever we run into someone that has something in common with us. Also, the UofA was crazy covered with Arizona gear almost everyday; it seems like everyone was so proud to be a Wildcat.

5. Games in the Zona Zoo
It seems like every time I flip my TV onto ESPN there is an Arizona game on. I miss the energy in the McKale Center during game day! I was so jealous of the attendees of last week's game after watching College Game Day in Tucson. What an awesome year in Arizona sports, as well!

4. Being proud to be a Wildcat everyday
Like I mentioned in number 6, it seemed to me everyone was so proud to be a Wildcat everyday. Part of being at Arizona meant to "bear down" before every test or before every game, I love that about Arizona.

3. eegee's
What's a list of things I miss about Tucson without eegee's? Like what I wanted when I was away in Tucson, I would greatly appreciate it if someone shipped me some!!

2. The Air/Good Weather
Meanwhile while everyone's booties are freezing, Arizona will soon to start having pool party season. While it does get super, duper hot in the summer, it is always not to freezing, even if it does snow occasionally {and more occasionally on Mount Lemmon}.

1. Friends and Family
I betcha saw this one coming. I miss going out to eat with my friends that I have made and I love seeing all of my family on the weekends. It made me the happiest.
