I have a fear of needles... they really get under my skin. ;)

A photo posted by &E (@andiek) on

This past December, a lump in my neck was discovered during a routine exam {I honestly thought it was because I had gum in my mouth}. I went in, got an ultrasound done, and wasn't expected to see an endocrinologist to talk about this "problem" until at least June. Little did I know that this "problem" I had was actually a nodule on my thyroid, so big that I have to might have to get the entire gland removed.

Here's me cheesin' away

So what went down on Friday {the 13th, may I remind you} was my biopsy. A total of 12 drummers drummin' needles went straight to my neck plus an additional two for numbing. Awful? Yes. Painful? Only afterwards. So if you're wondering exactly what went on with me, there is your answer.

UPDATE February 19th
Great news everyone! My nodules biopsy came in this afternoon telling me that my nodules are benign {noncancerous}. I am so thankful for all of the prayers during this time. I don't have any clue when my surgery is scheduled, but I will for sure let you guys know asap!
